General Waste
Light household & mixed waste
Great for household clean-ups and mixed light waste. Green waste can be mixed in.
Included: Furniture, toys, clothing, timber, tools, white goods, books, carpets/underlay
Prohibited: Liquids/chemicals, aerosols, hazardous materials, asbestos, loose insulation
Green Waste
Garden & vegetation only
Strictly light garden waste only. No dirt or general rubbish mixed in.
Included: Branches, lawn clippings, wood chips/bark, plants/shrubs, untreated timber
Prohibited: Treated timber/pine, dirt/sand/soil/clay, general waste
Builders Waste
Construction & renovation
For construction and renovation waste. Many building materials can be recycled.
Included: Timber, steel, gyprock, bricks (rules apply)
Prohibited: Dirt/sand/soil/clay, liquids/chemicals, tyres, gas bottles, asbestos
Concrete & Masonry
Heavy masonry waste only
Strictly for heavy masonry waste. Keeping it separate reduces disposal costs.
Included: Concrete, bricks, tiles, rock, pavers
Prohibited: Everything else
Dirt & Soil
Clean fill — own bin required
Requires its own bin and cannot be mixed with other materials.
Included: Certified Virgin Excavated Natural Material (VENM)

Weight Limits
Each bin size has a maximum weight allowance. Exceeding this will incur an overweight fee. Concrete and soil are particularly heavy — plan accordingly.

Common Questions
Can I mix waste types in the same skip?
Often yes — but some combinations are not allowed. You cannot mix soil with general waste, or concrete with timber and green waste. If your load is mixed, call us first and we will tell you which category applies.
What happens if I put prohibited items in the bin?
A minimum contamination fee of $200 applies. If asbestos is found in a standard skip bin, we reserve the right to return and tip the bin back at the customer's property, or charge a fee to cover safe transport and disposal.
How high can I fill the skip?
Bins must not be filled above the rim. Overfilled bins cannot be legally transported on public roads. If your waste sits above the rim, you will need to remove the excess or book an additional bin.
What is the standard hire period?
Standard hire is 7 days. Extensions are available — contact us at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup day to arrange an extension.
